Emergency Urology: A Practical Guide for Physicians

Author: Giya Dizhoniyevich Kutateladze

This book provides practical guidance for the most common and dangerous urological emergencies. It is organized around clinical decisions: what to assess in the first few minutes, which investigations actually change management, when drainage or surgery is needed, and how to avoid common errors. Organizational and regulatory considerations for use in the Republic of Kazakhstan are covered in Chapters 65–66 and the appendices.

The material follows the sequence “syndrome → danger → diagnosis → emergency care → definitive management.” Recommendations have been checked against current international guidelines and contemporary literature. Management of an individual patient must take account of local protocols, the antibiogram, contraindications, equipment, and the team's qualifications.
